I did walk to and from the bus stop, ~.8 mi each way. I originally thought I would lift today but i passed.
Training for the Seattle Rock n Roll Half Marathon has officially started. I am hoping to continue to lift at least 2x a week. We’ll see.

Run 2.2

Time: 11ish am
Where: gym treadmill
Workout: 4 mi.
Mile 1 warm up, getting up to 6.0 on the speed scale
Miles 2 & 3: 6.0 baseline, accelerations of 200m as follows: 6.5, 6.5, 6.6, 6.6, 6.7, 6.8, 6.7, 6.6
Mile 4: 6.0 with a slower speed at the end
Notes and observations: 4 mi goes by fast with intervals. Blisters begin forming between 3and 4 miles. There is a lunchtime food truck in the Mars Hill parking lot.

Run 2.1

Time: 8 am
Where: gym treadmill
Workout: 3 mi easy
Notes and observations: hovered between 9:30 & 10 min mile, and I probably should go slower for an “easy” run. The problem is I like to be done quicker than an 11:00 min mi allows.

Lift 1.31

Time: 7:45a
Where: gym
Workout: Supersets, 60 sec rest between each superset

1a) DB Squats (25 lbs) 12 reps x 3

1b) Leg Lifts 12 reps x 3

2a) Step Ups (Machine 40 lbs): 10 reps x 3

2b) Push Ups: 12 x 3

3a) Kneeling Lat Pull Down (90 lbs) 12 x 3

3b) Mountain Climbers 15 x 3

4) Yates Rows 10 x 3

5) Plank 60 sec x 2

Notes and Observations: tightening the core in lat pull downs.

Run 1.30

Time: 7:45a
Where: gym
What: 3 mi easy, 10 min mi pace or slower
Notes and observations: Back issues over the weekend so this was just a test to make sure I could do something. The answer was yes.

Haven’t posted regularly in a while. I like to post photos, which require taking them. And uploading them. And in general having time. I do have time. On the bus. Which is where I am now, but means taking and publishing pics maybe isn’t so easy.
Which fits nicely into the changes I’m thinking about. Previously I saw this as a photo-food blog / occasional training log but beginning today you’ll see this become a training log / occasional photo food blog.
